【祈願.祝福】願瓜地馬拉吉祥平安!

今天看到網路上一則令人憂傷的新聞...
瓜地馬拉火山 1974年以來最大噴發。
位在中南美洲_瓜地馬拉的_富埃戈火山,在當地3號突然大規模噴發,火山噴發至今還在持續,許多人逃生不及當場被活埋,據報導現在死亡人數已經增加到了72人,失蹤人數不明。

當地火山調查單位表示,光是5日早晨,富埃戈火山每小時就高達10次的噴發,災區的高溫使泥土都被融化了,救援活動難上加難。面對重大死傷,當地政府已宣布3天國殤。

Our Prayers and Blessings to Guatemalans. May they be safe!
Today, I came across a very sad pice of news on the internet:
Mount Fuego has erupted, the largest volcanic eruption in Guatemala since 1974.
Located in Central America, Mountain Fuego in Guatemala erupted on June 3rd. Mount Fuego is still erupting and has since caused a death toll of 72 and many still missing.
Based on the Guatemalan volcano survey unit, Mount Fuego erupted up to 10 times per hour on the morning of June 5th. The high temperature lava resulting from the eruption has heated up the surrounding land causing rescue work to be almost impossible. Facing a large death toll, the Guatemalan government has declared 3 days of national mourning.
Let’s us get together and pray for Guatemala: May the light of Buddha shine on Guatemala, calming down Mount Fuego; May the deceased rest in peace: May those injured recover soon; May all rescue efforts proceed smoothly and safely.

如何當個快樂的修行人

你有沒有發現越來越多人,在生活中明明什麼都擁有了,卻總是過得不快樂?在這個世代,每天有看不完的新聞、聽不完的音樂、看不完的電影、假日還要抽空跟朋友去唱歌、旅遊…把生活安排得行程滿滿了,但總在夜深人靜時,一個人悶悶的問著自己:「是不是少了甚麼?」

也有人說:「我明明很認真修行、念佛,當下也持常常感受到快樂法喜,但一遇到不如意、不順心,很容易的又會生起煩惱,當抱怨心一起,好像又回到那個修行前的自己了!
.
如果「修行」可以讓我們的生活變得更快樂,幫助我們成就夢想、成就未來,那將會是甚麼光景呢?生命的路,箇中滋味如人飲水,冷暖自知,無論在生活上,或是在修行中,若能和同修一起交換心得,談笑間的收穫也許會更加強大?!

父母必學的成功教養術!!

一個同修來找我聊她兒子的問題:「師父,我有兩個孩子,女兒樣樣都好不用人操心,可是兒子今年14歲,明年就要考高中了,有時候我真的不知道該拿他怎麼辦才好!無論我給他請家教、送他去補習,可是成績就是拉不上來!我要他多跟他姐姐學習,他竟然說家裡沒溫暖,要我們不要管他,講他兩句就臭臉,真是氣死我了!這樣下去以後該怎麼辦呀?」

我問她:「妳別總看孩子不好的那一面,他成績不好,但總有什麼是好的吧?」
.
她說:「他就是喜歡跟幾個朋友玩樂團,愛打爵士鼓。」
我說:「他知道自己喜歡什麼就很不錯了,很多孩子在這年紀還不知道自己喜歡什麼呢!他喜歡什麼就讓他去學什麼,何必非得執著考試分數?而且,妳要多鼓勵他、和他溝通,給他溫暖,不要老是責罵他,或是拿別的孩子跟他比,每個孩子都有自己的長處,誰喜歡總是被人比下去呢?」

這位同修聽了我的話,回家之後和她的兒子徹夜長談,鼓勵他大膽往自己的興趣發展,並且告訴他,不管成功還是失敗,家裡永遠是他的避風港。
.
這孩子跟爸媽聊完後,告訴爸媽,雖然他決定要走音樂這條路,但他還是會認真把學業完成。而且他說到做到,即使把補習跟家教都退掉了,成績也沒有退步,還進步了,後來參加比賽拿了個獎,並且憑藉這個獎項申請上一間不錯的高中音樂班,專心學習音樂。
.
很多父母會認為孩子成績不好是件很嚴重的事,但其實成績好壞不代表未來成就的高低,也不是評斷孩子的唯一標準。所有父母都是愛著自己的兒女的,希望他們能夠變得更好,但是卻時常因為焦急而用錯了方法,導致和兒女的關係變得很緊張。這時候,做父母的應該靜下心來,換一種方式,用鼓勵取代責罰,好好跟子女溝通,畢竟是一家人,有什麼話不能好好說呢?
.
最後祝福大家:和父母、子女都能溝通順利,擁有美滿和諧的家庭關係。

A Must Learn for Parents to bring up successful children
.
 A fellow practitioner approached me on issues related to her son. She said, "Master, I have two children. My daughter has done well in most aspects and requires minimal parental guidance. But we are quite lost when it comes to coaching my son who is now 14 years old and will be taking his high school exams next year. My son, on the other hand, has performed poorly academically. Despite engaging a family tutor and sending him for enrichment classes, his results have not improved! When I suggested to him to learn from his elder sister, he was upset and said that there was little warmth in the family, and asked to be left alone. When I tried to give him advice, he would put on a long face. This really troubles me! How do I deal with this situation going forward?"
I asked him, "You should not just focus on areas he is weak in. Your son's academic results may not be satisfactory, but has he any other strong points?"
She said, "He just loves to play drum in a Jazz band with a group of friends."
I said, "It is quite positive that he does know what he likes. A lot of children of his age do not even know what they like! You should allow him to pursue what he likes. Why should you be overly worried about his exam results? Furthermore, you should encourage him, communicate with him and let him feel the warmth of the family. Try not to scold him frequently or compare him to other kids. Every child has his own strength, and who would like to be compared with others and feel inferior? "
This practitioner took my advice. Back home, she had a long conversation with her son deep into the night, and encouraged him to pursue his passion with courage. She assured him that the family would always be his safe sanctuary whether or not he succeeds in his pursuit.
The child was overjoyed after the conversation with his parents. He assured them that despite pursuing his passion in music, he would still work hard to complete his study at school. He eventually kept his promise and improved on his academic results, without the help of home tuition and enrichment classes. He even won a prize in a school contest and with the help of the award, successfully enrolled in a good high school to continue his music studies in order to pursue his passion.
Many parents take their children’s school results very seriously. But in reality, school results are not a measure of a child's real achievement in the future. It is also not the only yardstick to judge a child. All parents love their children and hope they will do well in life. However, they often apply the wrong method due to anxiety, thus creating tension in their relationship with the children. When this happens, parents should calm down and consider an alternative method, adopting an encouraging approach instead of just punishment, and also communicate properly with the children. Since they are part of the same family, there should be open communication between patients and children.
Finally, I hope everyone can communicate well with their parents and children, and I wish all enjoy a happy and harmonious family relationship.

相信就會改變,相信就會看見。。。

禪修的效果雖然會因人而異,但是不論您是甚麼國家、種族身份,或是年記老小?只要認真堅持住禪修,相信你的生命一定能夠有所改變。一起來聽聽來自於新加坡的故事!!

我來自於新加坡禪堂,法名_丹貢。
早在十多年前,醫生就說我超重。我嘗試過許多減肥方法,比如吃減肥藥,做瑜伽,跑步,去瘦身中心泡桑拿浴,甚至不吃午餐只喝減肥咖啡。可惜的是,我所獲得的效果都不理想,體重只減了一兩公斤,不久又回彈了。絕食減肥還導致我身體虛弱,膚色暗淡。

我是在2014年接觸菩提禪修。當時我不是為了減肥而來,而是對心靈的提升這方面感興趣。學習「大禮拜」後,我的體重竟然在六個月的修練內下降了10公斤,真是令我樂不可支!從此我愛上大禮拜,天天一定會修練,絕不放棄!過去三年,我的體重維持在標準範圍內,再也不必為減肥而煩惱。我的皮膚變得有光澤,無需再服食膠原蛋白。我不用化妝,只塗個口紅就夠亮麗,朋友們看到我容光煥發,都很好奇。
在過去的三、四十年,我一天只能睡上兩三個小時。2015年我開始走八卦後,每晚就能深睡大約十個小時,黑眼圈漸漸變淡了。

自從禪修以後,我變得更平靜。家人若大聲跟我說話,我不會像以往那樣喊回去,而是能心平氣和地與他們溝通。我覺得我的家人更加團結了,大家都相處得樂融融。現已69歲的我,不僅身體健康、精神充沛,也感覺年輕快樂!我已介紹了幾位朋友來菩提禪修,希望他們也能像我一樣堅持修練,並體驗到禪修的益處。

【芒種忙,心清爽】

芒種是夏季的第三個節氣,表示仲夏時節的正式開始,太陽到達黃經75°。今年在陽曆6月5日。

芒種的諧音是「忙種」,芒種的「芒」字,是指麥類等有芒植物的收穫;芒種的「種」字,是指穀黍類作物播種的節令。意思是說夏熟的芒作物這時要抓緊收,下一輪要種的作物要抓緊種,所謂「春爭日,夏爭時」,因為麥子稍微收得晚些,就可能遇到暴雨、冰雹、龍捲風等極端天氣,使熟成的收成毀於一旦或造成嚴重損失;而要種的作物晚一天都可能到秋季長不熟,令收成大減。所以芒種這個節氣最能體現古人「依天時而動」的智慧。

芒種時節,各種瓜果蔬菜相繼上市,是瓜果蔬菜最豐盛的季節,如:櫻桃、桃子、草莓、桑葚等等,這些應時的天然美食也正是適合我們夏季身體所需要的——敗火解暑熱。但有過敏症的人不要吃桃子、西瓜、榴槤等的瓜果類。

夏季炎熱,需要提醒一點的是,不要在運動後大熱的身體狀況下猛喝涼水或冰水;也不要在身體大熱、大汗的狀態下沖涼水澡或吹冷氣,同樣會對身體造成很大的傷害。
.
建議可以多運動。過去少林寺有一句話:「冬練三九,夏練三伏」,冬天極冷、夏天極熱,卻是對身體、禪修最好的補養時期。夏天天亮得早,是早起走八卦的好季節。走一個小時八卦,對你這一天的精神來說是非常好了。
.
「心靜自然涼」,在仲夏季節多點禪修,讓自己的心清淨下來,有助於我們消除悶熱帶來的煩躁,能夠健康自在地過好每一天。

Grain in Ear (“Mang Zhong” in Mandarin) -- being busy with a relaxed mind
Grain in Ear is the third solar term in summer and symbolizes the start of midsummer. During this time, the sun is at 75 degrees longitude. This year, the date falls on 5th June on the Gregorian calendar.
In Mandarin, the term “Mang Zhong” sounds similar to another term that means 'busy farming’. The “Mang” refers to the harvesting of plants with awns; the word “Zhong” refers to the planting of grains. Put together, the term “Mang Zhong” means that farmers have to quickly harvest plants with awns that mature during summer, and quickly sow the seeds for the plants that will be planted for the next cycle. This is perfectly demonstrated by the Chinese saying “During spring, we plan our work daily; During summer, we need to plan by the hour”. Harvesting the grains too late could lead to them being destroyed in a second by a sudden bout of rain, hail or tornado. Delay the planting of new seeds by a day and the plants may not reach full maturity by autumn, thus drastically reducing the harvest. The Grain in Ear solar term is the best illustration of the ancestors’ wisdom when it comes to planning ahead for changes in the weather.
The Grain in Ear period is also the time when the supply of melons, fruits and vegetables are most bountiful, with different varieties appearing on the marketplace almost simultaneously, example: cherries, peaches, strawberries and mulberries. These ‘cool-natured’’ fruits are also exactly what our bodies need during summer. People with allergies though, should stay away from peaches, watermelons and durians etc.
During this hot summer period, another important point is that we should not gulp down large quantities of cold or iced drinks after sports, when the body is giving out tremendous amount of heat. Similarly, we should not take cold showers or go into air-conditioned spaces when the body is giving out lots of heat and sweat. This will cause serious damage to our health.
I would suggest that this is a good time to do more exercises. Winter and summer are the best times to nurture the bodies through exercising and meditation, even though one is extremely cold and the other is extremely hot. During summer, the sky brightens very early in the morning. This is the best time to practice Energy Bagua. One hour of Bagua practice in the morning will maintain your state of mind in top condition for the rest of the day.
As we meditate more during summer, our mind will calm down. This helps us to control the irritation and bad temper brought about by the hot weather. In this way, we can live everyday healthily and at ease.
